I run two blogs. This one for my soap friends and another one for my customers, although I have to admit, I am more active here. In an attempt to get some followers to my other blog, which has never been nurtured, but all that's going to change, I am running a holiday contest here http://www.bonniebath.blogspot.com/. If you are interested, just follow and post a comment. : -)

I decided to make one holiday soap this year in 4 scents (Frasier Fir, Winter Wonderland, Home for the Holidays, and Cranberry Fig), so I chose to test out Debbie's method from her Soapylove book for making plaid soaps, my first dabble in the melt and pour world. I made a Christmas plaid with red, green and sparkly gold and then used a tree cookie cutter. I really like how they came out for a first time, and they've already been featured twice - one on Soapylove's Daily Ditties blog along with some other soapmakers that tried Debbie's techniques and another in an Etsy Treasury. Enjoy!
