I like to keep up with the trends that the big companies set or follow in the bath and candle industries. Most of the time, I am not usually impressed. It's often what everyone else is doing, and I like fresh ideas to talk about. I was particularly interested to see that Yankee Candle is offering some manly scented candles for Father's Day. Riding Lawnmower - Hot sun. Cool breeze. And the intensely summery scent of freshly cut grass.
First Down - Game on! This combination of orange, patchouli, vetiver and leather is as exciting as game day.
2x4 - The warm, unmistakable scent of freshly planed wood and sawdust evokes a sense of confidence and quality.
Man Town - Escape to the man cave with this masculine blend of spices, woods and musk.
Since my husband is not the least bit interested in candles I thought that perhaps this would be a flop. However, my brother is a candle burning fiend. Maybe they are on to something here.
Did it give you any inspiration? I know I got an idea involving a 2x4, the scent of Home Depot, and some soap. Too bad you'll have to wait until I return from a 2 week hiatus in Atlanta to see my idea in action, but I will definitely make this a reality when I return. Too much to do before I go.
